Jason Paynter is an avowed classic car enthusiast, published author and Classic Car Appraiser certified by the American Society of Certified Auto Appraisers. He brings his unique automotive industry expertise to the G.D. Herring team, servicing clients with auto appraisals and pre-purchase inspections to ensure accurate valuation of their cars.
Jason is a graduate of St. Xavier High School and holds a degree in Communications from the University of Louisville. Entering the auto industry in 1996, his professional background encompasses a range of disciplines including vehicle finance and insurance, inventory management, consultative retail, commercial and wholesale disposition sales and marketing.
For decades Jason has enjoyed owning and curating a unique collection of cars, leading him to pen his most recent book, Drop, Throttle, Oversteer: Collecting and Investing in Classic Cars. He is also a column writer for the G.D Herring Journal and host of The Classic Car Corner podcast, a weekly show dedicated to all things classic car. Jason has been blessed with an extremely rewarding career as an automotive consultant, garnering him the support and trust of numerous long-time clients. He firmly believes in taking care of his customers, which has led to solid industry relationships, the ability to refer business with confidence, as well as countless good friends. Jason and his wonderful wife Mary have three sons, Douglas, Davis and Luke. You will likely catch a glimpse of them rolling down the highways in a 1980’s wood paneled station wagon, often having picked straws to see who gets to sit in the rear-facing seat.
Kat Lewis is an insurance specialist who obtained her MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University.
She is Project Management Professional certified and brings with her a deep analytical skill set.

Sam Ramazani is an Oriental carpet educator, appraiser, broker, and skilled repair craftsman.
With his daughter Sara, he owns Sara’s Oriental Rugs in Louisville, KY, providing beautiful handmade rugs, as well as expert rug cleaning and repair. With decades of experience in the rug industry, Sam works to educate his clients and impart to them his love and enthusiasm for beautifully crafted handmade rugs.
